How to Enable GodMode for Windows 7 and Windows Vista

By Andrew B. Bartels, November 27, 2011

Windows 7 and Windows Vista have a hidden trick that exposes all of the operating system configuration settings.  To enable GodMode, follow these steps:

1. Right click on desktop to create a new folder

2. Change the name of the folder to:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

(You will see a 'GodMode' icon on the desktop, with a control panel icon)

3. Double click the icon to open the GodMode window.  All of Windows configuration settings are now available, as well as a great many Windows administrative tasks.
